Night-time mystique
The world has a special, mystical feeling under moonlight, starlight, man-made lights or the dying rays of the day's sunlight, and I love to capture those effects.
The artworks that are still for sale will be listed in the online shop. Click on the image to take you to the shop for details and how to purchase.
A lone figure holds a cup in her hand sat at a table outside an all-night cafe. Drawn in soft pastel on black paper. SOLD

Dare you cross the Devil's Bridge? When built it was said the only way it could stand up was with supernatural help! The way the reflection creates a full circle looking like an eye only reinforced the belief, hence the name The Devil's Bridge. Drawn in soft pastel on black paper.

Reflections of the classic greens of the Northern Lights sweeping down onto a snowy landscape. Drawn in soft pastel on black paper.

Panoramic view of Southport's Marine Lake at night looking down the historic Pier to the resort's hotels and fairground with the Millennium Bridge to the left of the scene. Painted in acrylics on stretched canvas. SOLD
Imagining what Vincent Van Gogh would have seen on a starry night sat on Southport's historic Pier looking down to the resort's hotels and fairground. Drawn in soft pastel on black paper. SOLD
"Into the Light" shows a figure walking down a deserted road into a strong beam of light giving a dramatic backlighting to the overarching tree - where is the light coming from? where is he going? Drawn in soft pastel on black paper.
Welcoming light pours through the door and windows at my home in France while the outside light and the garden lights also help to break through the darkness of the night. Drawn in soft pastel on black paper. SOLD
Fading light shining through the trees and bouncing off the rocks lights up the way along this road strewn with and surrounded by huge rocks. Drawn in soft pastel on black paper.
